Yesterday I had a customer send me a link to this article and ask me if there were any side effects of Wu-Long Tea…
Here is the article that they sent us…

I am really grateful know how invested our Okuma customers are and I love being able to do some research and answer questions like this.
First and foremost, it’s important to point out that this article speaks directly to the possible side effects of all varieties of tea (Camellia sinensis) in general, not specifically oolong or Wu-Long as it’s commonly referred to. Also, the lists of “side effects” that they are discussing are primarily related to the caffeine content of tea, not to the tea itself.
It is documented that excess caffeine consumption can cause health problems for some people (particularly those with high blood pressure or similar conditions).
Okuma’s Wu-Long tea has a low caffeine content, about a third of that of a cup of coffee.
For most people this should be an easily tolerated level (particularly if used as the recommended 2 cups per day).
As always, if you have caffeine sensitivity, any medical issues, or are on medication, we strongly suggest that you consult with your physician before making any changes to your diet.
It is always possible the certain people may have reactions to even healthy foods or drinks, but this is extremely rare.
As a matter of fact, LiveStrong.com has also written an article all about the many health benefits of oolong tea, including combating obesity, fighting stress, and improving memory…here is the link:
